Yoshida’s compact on display at Shigeru Ban’s REVERBERATION-Pavilion of Light and Sound in Venice
The Shiseido Group’s prestige brand “Cle de Peau Beaute” compacts “Ombres Couleurs Quadri” & “Blush Duo Poudre” made by Yoshida were used for the pavilion display ‘Reverberation – Pavilion of Light and Sound’. The pavilion was on display at the Vernissage of Venice Biennale, one of the biggest contemporary art festivals in the world.
This work of art was designed by world renowned architect Shigeru Ban.
Approximately 68,000 pieces of the multifaceted blue compacts of Yoshida’s YK print technique were used in constructing the exterior walls, giving the appearance of tiles reflecting and absorbing light.
The grand popularity from the public extended the exhibition until May 22, two weeks longer than originally planned.
